Rev. Adeyinka Samson Adewumi was born to the family of Pa Ademola Lawrence Adewumi and Mummy Olufunmilola Adewumi of Igbajo in Boluwaduro Local Government Area of the State of Osun, South-West Nigeria. He had his primary education at Alafia Oluwa Nursery and Primary School, Orogun area, Ibadan (1981 – 1987). He had his secondary school education at Abadina College, located in the premises of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan (1987 – 1993). He has a National Diploma Certificate (Computer Sciences) from the Kwara State Polytechnic (1996 – 1999). Having successfully passed the IJMB Advanced level examination in 1995 at Kwara Polytechnic.
He secured admission and completed his first degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Ilorin (1997 – 2003). He had his National Service year with Nigerian Telecommunication Limited in Sokoto (2003 – 2004). Rev. Samson Adeyinka Adewumi gave his life to Jesus Christ in 1995 and he was baptized the same year. Having gone through various discipleship training and was sure of God’s call upon his life, he proceeded for training in 2005 at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso. He completed this theological training in 2010 and obtained the Master of Divinity (Theology) certificate from Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso. He also had his Master of Theology degree (with major in Old Testament/New Testament) from the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary Ogbomoso in the year 2014. He is joyfully married to Mrs Adeola Julianah Adewumi(nee Ojo) and the union is blessed with three godly off-springs names Adebola, Adeayo and Adebusola.
