Men Missionary Union

The formal launching was performed on 26th June 1986 by Rev. J.T Popoola representing the then Secretary of Men and Boys Department of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. Rev. G.A Adeola was decorated as the Honourary Chairman while Pastor P.A Subuloye was decorated as the first Chairman of the Union of the Church. Forty members of the Church enrolled as members as at the time of the official launching.

The MMU had been involved in the task of leading men, young men and boys to deeper involvement and commitment to missions. We have also been performing creditably well at the Association, conference as well as the convention levels. At the National Annual leadership Training at Ede in 2003, the Men’s Missionary Union of the Church was made as a model and members were invited to demonstrate how we were able to function and organize the men’s Missionary Union in the Church.

Taking the whole gospel of Jesus Christ to all who do not know or receive him whenever the opportunity arises.

Some of our objectives include: Taking the whole gospel of Jesus Christ to all who do not know or receive him whenever the opportunity arises. To help new believers to grow through systematic teaching and also to promote Christian Mission through programmes of prayer, Evangelism, bile study, Mission study, stewardship and others.

The MMU has also been the one responsible for the payment of salary for the Pastor at Batonu, Pastor Samson Sabi. There is also a plan to buy a new motorcycle for the mission pastor before the year (2015) runs out.

EMBC MMU in their willing heart has been supporting and helping people in need including the aged ones in the Church. Constant visitation to members is not left out as this had always been MMU heart desire.
